Anyone else feel like summer somehow flew by and lasted forever at the same time?! Either way, we are officially 2 weeks away from the start of a new school year!! 😳♥️🩵

It has been such a joy seeing photos of some of our littlest Lancers out and about using the coupons and freebies they received as part of their Schick Summer Bucket List!

We also want to take a moment to once again thank all of the incredible local businesses and organizations who so generously donated these fun opportunities for our students. We are so lucky to live in a community that shows up for our kids, and we are incredibly grateful for your support!

We'd like to congratulate all our seniors recognized at Senior Awards Night last week! We are incredibly proud of all of you.

Whether you received one award or several, please remember this: someone noticed your efforts, your character, your growth, your leadership, your kindness, or your hard work and wanted to celebrate you. We truly hope that makes you feel proud, because you should be.

As you celebrate this exciting season, we also want to encourage you to take the time to thank the individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who invested in you through scholarships and awards. Many of these honors exist in memory of loved ones or because someone deeply believes in supporting students and their futures. A handwritten thank you note may seem small, but it truly means so much.

In a world where gratitude is often rushed, never underestimate the impact of taking a few moments to sincerely thank someone. It matters. Today and forever. Always write the thank you notes! 🥰

We are so proud of senior, Hannah Ash, who officially wrapped up her internship with Cheryl Terpak, Environmental Manager of the Williamsport Municipal Water Authority!

Mrs. Terpak recently shared this photo from a visit to the Williamsport Municipal Water and Sanitary Authority labs, where Hannah had the opportunity to practice some of the same lab analyses performed daily by professional lab technicians.

We are incredibly grateful to Mrs. Terpak and the Williamsport Municipal Water Authority for investing in our students and providing Hannah with such a meaningful, hands-on experience. Congratulations, Hannah! We cannot wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you.

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Conner Lang 🎓

We are excited to celebrate Conner and his plans after graduation (on Friday! 😱). Conner plans to enter the workforce with goals of becoming a corrections officer and one day owning his own business.

Conner has already gained valuable experience through his part-time job at Lang’s Chocolates, where he works in sales, and continues to build strong communication and customer service skills. 🍫

Throughout High School, Conner dedicated himself to the Loyalsock boys’ soccer program for all four years ⚽️. As senior captain of the varsity team, he stepped into a leadership role and represented Loyalsock in the PHAC Senior All-Star Soccer Game as a goalkeeper. Conner also earned PHAC All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition as both a defender and goalkeeper. 🥅

Conner’s competitive spirit, determination, and willingness to work have helped shape his path forward. We wish him the very best as he begins this next chapter and pursues his future goals! 👏🏼👏🏼

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Kathryn Clapper 🎓

We are so excited to share that Katie will attend Duquesne University to major in Music Technology – Composition for Media as she pursues her dream of becoming a film score composer. 🎼

Katie has truly made her mark at Loyalsock through her talent, leadership, and kindness. She has been deeply involved in Loyalsock’s music program through Concert Band, Jazz Band, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Indoor Guard, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. A talented clarinetist who also studies privately outside of school, she earned recognition through PMEA District and Region Band and PMEA District and Region Orchestra.

In addition to music, Katie excelled academically, ranking at the very top of this incredible class, while serving as President of both National Honor Society and Cultures of the World Club. She was also a dedicated member of Varsity Track & Field, earning District qualification along with several awards.

Teachers describe Katie as one of the most humble, respectful, and hardworking students they’ve had. She leads through kindness, determination, and quiet confidence, always bringing a positive attitude and warm presence wherever she goes. 🥰

Katie’s future is incredibly bright, and we cannot wait to see where her creativity, drive, and talent take her. Congratulations, Katie! We couldn’t be more proud of you! ♥️🩵

🎓Senior Spotlight: Seth Janovitz 🎓

We are so proud to celebrate Seth! He will attend Lycoming College, where he plans to pursue a dual certification in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. His goal is to become a special education or elementary school teacher, and we have no doubt he will make a meaningful impact on the lives of his future students. 👨🏻‍🏫

Seth has been recognized with the Faculty Scholar Award from Lycoming College, an honor that reflects both his academic dedication and strong character. Throughout high school, he has maintained a 4.0 GPA and consistently earned Distinguished Honor Roll recognition.

Beyond the classroom, Seth has devoted countless hours to serving others through Boy Scouts, his youth group, Experience Missions, and volunteering with Sojourner Truth Ministries. Whether collecting food for families in need, serving meals to individuals experiencing homelessness, or packing medical and food supply kits, Seth consistently demonstrates compassion, humility, and a willingness to help wherever he is needed. He is someone who quietly leads by example through kindness, empathy, and service.

Seth is also involved in band/choir, Football, wrestling, 4H, and National Honor Society, showing his commitment to both his school and community. Those who know Seth know him as an incredibly respectful and caring young man with a calm demeanor and a genuine heart for others. He is deeply dedicated to his family. He is also hardworking, dependable, and simply an all-around good person.

Watching this video is such a bittersweet reminder of how quickly the years pass. It feels like just yesterday many of these seniors were our little Lancers, and now they’re preparing for their next chapter. Time truly is a thief, but what a privilege it is to watch these students grow into the incredible young adults they’ve become. Enjoy every moment of these final days at Loyalsock, seniors. They go by way too fast. 🥹♥️🩵
