Lycoming College Sustainability The Lycoming College Sustainability Committee works to maintain initiatives to benefit the community, campus, and our planet.

The Sustainability Committee at Lycoming College began a movement in Fall 2011 to create a more sustainable environment in the college community. The purpose of this organization is to create new initiatives concerning the conservation of our resources. Since our start, we have excelled in the RecycleMania competition, maintained a biodiesel facility, sustained a solar energy project, and recently

began a TerraCycle program and became the 50th chapter of the Food Recovery Network. While we work closely with L.E.A.F. (Lycoming Environmental Awareness Foundation), we are not the same organization; we collaborate with L.E.A.F. to actively participate in Earth Week to raise awareness of our environmental efforts. We are affiliates of PERC (Pennsylvania Environmental Resource Consortium) and actively attend their conferences. Keep checking our page for updates on what we're up to around the campus community!
