The Altoona Area Public Library is seeking a full-time Children’s Services Program Specialist.

Duties would include but are not limited to: creating and coordinating developmentally appropriate programs for children ages birth to 6th grade and families, working with other programming team members and community agencies, providing excellent customer service, assisting patrons with material selection and research, checking books in and out, and shelving books. Evening shifts and rotating weekend shifts are required.

Education: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field required. Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.

Generous benefits include: Health Insurance at no cost, including Dental and Vision, retirement, paid holidays, vacation days, sick days, family sick days, and hourly petty leave time.

Compensation: $27,040.00 with minimum requirements, negotiable.
