Some people leave a lasting impact on a program, not just through what they teach, but through the way they show up for others.

Today marks Coach Kaleb’s last day at 570 Jiu Jitsu as he prepares for his move to Pittsburgh.

Kaleb has been an important part of our academy, dedicating countless hours to teaching, mentoring, training, and helping our students grow. His knowledge, work ethic, and commitment to the people around him have helped shape the culture we’ve worked so hard to build.

Beyond his accomplishments on the mats, what we’ll appreciate most is the time and energy he’s invested in others.

We’re grateful for everything you’ve contributed to 570, Kaleb. You’ve made a difference here, and that won’t be forgotten.

Pittsburgh is gaining a great training partner, coach, and person.

You don’t have to be in shape to start Jiu Jitsu.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need to know how to wrestle. And you definitely don’t need to “get ready” before walking through the door.

That’s what training is for.

We teach the fundamentals, give you a chance to practice them with a partner, and gradually add resistance as you become more comfortable.

Some people come for fitness. Some want to learn how to defend themselves. Some eventually want to compete.

You just have to start.

PURPLE BELT 🟪

Congratulations to Coach Dom Parker on his promotion to BJJ Purple Belt.

Dom has put in the work — on the mats, in the cage, and as a coach helping the people around him get better. His recent professional MMA debut win at Ring of Combat was another example of the skill, composure, and work ethic we see from him every week.

The belt is earned through a lot of hours that nobody sees. Dom earned this one.

Congratulations, Coach Dom. Well deserved. 👊
