61 Franklin Street Garden's mission is to provide a vibrant open space and the opportunity for environmental education to the residents of Greenpoint.

We are open April 1st- October 31st Saturday and Sunday 10-3pm. Our efforts would not be possible without the generous support of Councilman Steve Levin and his dedicated staff, who are helping to turn this garden into a reality. http://61franklinstgarden.blogspot.com/

The garden is still giving 🌶️🍅🍆🌿 Late August brings ripening tomatoes, colorful peppers, beautiful eggplants and plenty of greens. Summer may be winding down, but there’s still so much growing. 🌱

There’s a whole world hiding in the garden if you look closely🔎🌿🐝 Our Pollinator Crew has been documenting some of the tiny creatures living among our flowers and plants - from busy pollinators to caterpillars and a few we’re still working to identify.

Some help the garden thrive, some might be helping themselves to our plants, but all are part of the ecosystem we’re getting to know🌻

A little midsummer update from the garden 🌱

There’s something new to discover every week 🪴 From herbs and tomatoes to blooming flowers, tiny strawberries, and peaceful corners to sit and enjoy.

If you haven’t stopped by in a while, come take a stroll. We’re open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am–6pm. 🌼💚

Join us tomorrow, Thursday, July 30 at 6:30pm for a performance by the Philip Wailes Ensemble.

Led by NYC bassist, composer, and educator Philip Wailes Philip Wailes the ensemble will perform a selection of mostly original compositions.
