Many in Leadership and Development like to make leadership complex and intricate, but Simon Sinek does a nice job boiling it down to it's core in this video. I've often said that good leadership is a lot like being a good parent. As parents we don't fire our children when they misbehave. Instead we coach, nurture and sacrifice for the good of our children. If we did it right, our children trust us with their lives and know our intentions are honorable and in their best interest. The same principle holds true for the people we work with.
