And, we're back! A little rain (okay, it was a lot of rain🌧️) couldn't dampen the spirits of the amazing students and instructors who joined us last week to mark our return to Adult Workshops after saying goodbye to the teens of Snow Farm Summer earlier this month.⁠

Part two of Snow Farm Summer's studio walkthrough last Friday! Featured here are some of the projects from painting & drawing, flameworking and ceramics classes. Students explored a wide range different mediums and techniques during just two weeks of studio classes! These teens always blow us away with their incredible ideas and technical skills.⁠

Every artist knows sometimes you have to step out of your studio and into the world to reinvigorate your creative energy, and where better a place to visit than an art museum! 🤩

The Snow Farm Summer teens set down their paintbrushes, clay, and jeweler's saws this weekend and took a trip to the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art this weekend to soak in some extra inspiration before heading into their final week of camp. In this second week, they will be working on self-directed final projects - stay tuned to see more about what they create!

It was a pleasure to have woodturning instructor Adam Wager () back at Snow Farm this year to teach "Technique & Form at the Lathe," a beginner/foundational turning workshop focusing on proper tool usage, safe practices at the lathe, and several basic cuts to work both long grain forms like vases and face grain forms like platters. As you can see, students learned a lot and made some amazing pieces in this class!
