Thinking about my little elks that are now in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd grade. We would read this book almost daily during the holiday season and I found it on you tube. You will love this. Hope your kids remember it. Miss you guys!! Ms. Tracy

Play is good for the brain! It teaches children how to problem solve and interact with others. Plus, all of that running, jumping, and twirling is good for the body.

Hi Little Elks Family. I have missed you. If you are still linked to this page, and I hope you are, I really would love for you to attend this music concert. Please pass along to family and friends. A really short drive for a really great concert. Well worth it!! I hope to see you there.

Robbie Schaefer will be performing a fun concert for kids on Saturday, October 11, 3:00 p.m., Cadillac Elks Club (next to Toy Town of Cadillac). Admission is a new winter hat or pair of mittens to be donated to local kids and their families. You do not want to miss this awesome concert for kids!!

As parents, we sometimes go too far trying to help and protect our kids from life's harsh realities and disappointments. We don't want our kids to struggle like we did.
But Harvard psychiatrist Dr. Dan Kindlon says that overprotected children are more likely to struggle in relationships and with challenges.
We're sending our kids the message that they're not capable of helping themselves.
To quote clinical psychologist Dr. Wendy Mogel:
"It is our job to prepare our children for the road, not prepare the road for our children."
