QUINTUPLE SENIOR SUNDAY | Today, we have a special treat for you!

All five members of SCG's Executive Committee (pictured, left to right: Amber Wright, Jack Edgar, Mark Kendrick, Jabria Craft, Matt Rosendahl and our lovely advisor, Marjorie Holtz, in the middle) talked about their aspirations for the College and answered an important question:

"As alumna/alumnus of the College, what type of legacy do you want to leave behind?"

Here are their responses:

AMBER: "Attending William and Mary became a dream of mine when I was in 10th grade. I knew that it was the place that I was going to call home. When I was accepted, my dream was realized and I've never looked back. I've loved everything about my home away from home, but I don't know if I would have been able to attend if I hadn't received financial aid. I come from a very rural area and my parents couldn't afford W&M's tuition straight out. Luckily, though, thanks to generous gifts made to the College, my tuition was taken care of and I'm in a better spot than most students here. I'm forever grateful and wish to pay it forward. I want to help create awareness as to why gifts made to the College are extremely important and needed, and hopefully in turn be part of the reason why someone in a similar financial position can have their dream come true. Ultimately, I'd love to be able to create a scholarship for someone to come to William and Mary! Giving back to the College is the ultimate way to say thanks and pave the way for future generations of students."

JACK: "Every student leaves something behind at the College that adds to the history and tradition of excellence that we are all so proud of. As a graduating senior, I hope that my legacy is rooted in what I've been passionate about at William & Mary. I hope that I leave behind an impact on my fraternity, on William & Mary Phonathon, on Senior Class Gift, and at the core of everything and everyone else that has made my time at college the best four years of my life. I hope that if a future freshman ever follows my path through college, it will be better than my own time here simply because of the contributions I made to William & Mary. I can't wait to come back to future Homecomings and see how this school continues to become an even greater experience for students to come. It's hard to believe that I'm leaving my home after four amazing years, but I am happy that I can leave knowing that I've done my part to leave William & Mary better than how I found it!"

MARK: "As I wrap up my last semester at the College, I think not about the legacy I leave behind but the path that I have paved for those to come. The beautiful thing about William & Mary is that you have the opportunity to be a part of a living environment that is constantly changing while you are a student. Every semester affords you new opportunities to create, learn, and experience what the College and your fellow students have to offer. Having been involved with groups such as The Gentlemen of the College and New Student Orientation [at the W&M Office of First Year Experience] I am fortunate to have watched these organizations grow and evolve during my four years. The memories I leave with and friends I have made are equally as gratifying as the fact that when I return as an alum, William & Mary will be better than when I left it. Just to have been a part of this process in some way is truly special to me."

JABRIA: "As an alumna, I think it's just important to remember all of the amazing times I've had at William and Mary. This place has become my home in more ways than I can even count. I have grown into my own here, and I wouldn't be the person I am today without my time spent here and the lessons I've learned from countless wonderful, passionate, and inspirational people at the College. To try to pinpoint a specific legacy is difficult considering all of the incredible things William and Mary has done for me. So I guess I would want my legacy to help students in need to be able to come here and not have to struggle financially. If anything I give can help even one student enjoy all that William and Mary can offer, then that is the greatest legacy I can leave."

MATT: "As an alum of the College, I want my legacy to be supporting a student's or students' attendance at William & Mary. The College has been instrumental in shaping who I am today and to give someone else, that otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it, the opportunity to become a member of the Tribe is something that it extremely important to me. I also wouldn't mind paying for Morton to be demolished. There would be a firework display as it crumbles into a pit of asbestos and Alicia Keys sings the national anthem."
