Please join us in welcoming Dr. Crystal L. Haskins to the Literacy for Life Board of Directors!
A proud native of Williamsburg, Dr. Haskins brings more than 20 years of experience in education, leadership, and community engagement, along with a deep commitment to the community that helped shape her values, voice, and dedication to service.
Dr. Haskins currently serves as Chief Learning Officer for An Achievable Dream and An Achievable Dream Urban Learning Leadership Center, where she leads multi-state school improvement and leadership development efforts. Her career has spanned the full continuum of educational leadership, from classroom teacher and principal to district leader, executive coach, consultant, and adjunct professor.
Beyond education, Dr. Haskins is deeply committed to community leadership and historical preservation. She serves on the James City County Planning Commission and is a contributing author to The Williamsburg Bray School: A History Through Records, Reflections, and Rediscovery.
Known for her authentic, people-first approach to leadership, she believes meaningful change happens when relationships, strategy, and community come together. We are delighted to welcome her experience, perspective, and passion for service to Literacy for Life!
