The Queens Lake Middle School PTA is hosting a Back-to-School Spirit Night at Shoofly Dairy Bar on Thursday, August 27th, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. 100% of tips and a percentage of all sales will be donated to the QLMS PTA. Last year, the PTA was able to support school events, students, and teachers in many ways using funds raised through events like this. Let's start them off with plenty of funds to work with this year!

With the first day of school only one day away, there is so much to cheer for - especially that our cheer coaches will be at lunches on Monday and Tuesday (August 24 & 25) to hold cheer interest meetings. 💚💛🐾 (Shout out to Dr. Weymouth-German for her enthusiasm for supporting the QLMS cheer team! 📣)

It’s Fresh Face Friday, and we are introducing Mr. Cook! We caught him today teaching his new colleagues about great instruction.

Mr. Cook is from Williamsburg and attended Lafayette and Christopher Newport University. He has worked in youth and college soccer most recently at Virginia Wesleyan University, which is now Batten University in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Cook loves staying active and playing sports - soccer is his favorite. He also loves spending time with family and friends and has a 2-year-old Weimaraner dog named Ingrid.

Mr. Cook is looking forward to teaching math in 6th grade and meeting all the students and staff from QLMS.
