Today, we celebrated a very special milestone as our 5th graders crossed the stage at their Promotion Ceremony held at Bruton High School. 🎓✨

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped plan and organize such a meaningful event, to our incredible families for their unwavering partnership and support throughout the years, and to Bruton High School for graciously opening your doors and allowing us to celebrate this unforgettable moment in such a beautiful setting.

To our rising middle school students: We are so proud of all you have accomplished and cannot wait to see the amazing things your future holds. Once a Shining Star, always a Shining Star! ⭐💜

🥎✨ One of our favorite traditions is officially in the books! Today’s annual Teachers vs. Students Kickball Game was filled with laughter, teamwork, and just the right amount of friendly competition. 💙

What a fun way for our 5th graders to celebrate one of their final days at Waller Mill before they head off to middle school. These students have grown so much, and making memories like these is the perfect way to wrap up their elementary journey.

Thank you to everyone who played, cheered, and made today so special. We’re going to miss this amazing group of Shining Stars! ⭐

Bravo to our incredible first graders for their amazing performances in this year’s First Grade Plays! 🌟🎭

Our students truly shined as they brought beloved storybook characters to life, including favorites from The Good Egg, One, and more. Their confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm lit up the stage and made for a memorable experience for all who attended.

A huge thank you to our fabulous resource team, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals whose hard work, dedication, and support made these performances possible. We are so proud of our talented first graders and the village that helped them shine! ❤️📚

What a special day welcoming our BHS seniors for the Senior Walk! 🎓✨

Our Shining Stars loved cheering on these graduates as they walked the halls one last time before their next big adventure. Thank you for inspiring our students and showing them that hard work, perseverance, and determination pay off.

🌟 Congratulations to our May/June Character Trait of the Month nominees! 🌟

These students have been recognized for demonstrating the character trait, “I Can Work It Out.” Whether solving problems, handling conflicts respectfully, persevering through challenges, or finding positive solutions, they have shown what it means to work through difficulties with confidence and kindness.

We are so proud of these shining stars for being problem-solvers, peacemakers, and role models for others.

☀️ It was a beautiful day for outdoor learning in Mrs. Ward’s 3rd grade class! Students explored our school grounds to investigate erosion and discover how natural events and human activities can shape the environment. They made real-world connections while observing science in action— hands-on learning and fresh air made for a fantastic day of discovery! 🌎🔍🍃

Mrs. Shafer’s 1st graders were busy measuring animals and recording their answers like true little scientists and mathematicians! 📏🐘🦒 Students practiced using measurement skills, comparing sizes, and carefully documenting their discoveries along the way. Hands-on learning makes every lesson a wild adventure! ✨

5th grade took Science SOL review on the road with a “traveling science experiment!” 🧪☁️ Students visited Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classrooms to test how many drops of water a cloud can hold before it rains. After making their predictions, they carefully added colored water drop by drop until the “rain” finally fell through the cloud. A fun, hands-on way to review science while sharing learning with our younger Shining Stars! 🌧️✨

Big congratulations to Mrs. Avery and her amazing class of published authors! 📚✨

Students proudly shared their class book, The Day 2nd Grade Went Wild! Their creativity, imagination, and hard work came to life on every page. Watching these young writers read their stories with so much confidence and excitement was such a special moment.

We are so proud of this talented group of authors and can’t wait to see where their creativity takes them next! 🖊️🌟
