BPIHS KICKS OFF NATIONAL DEPED SCHOOL SAFETY WEEK!

Baras-Pinugay Integrated High School kicked off the National DepEd School Safety Week through a Flag Ceremony participated in by parents, teachers, and students, highlighting the importance of working together to keep the school safe, secure, and conducive to learning in cognizance of DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026 or the Guidelines on Ensuring Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE).
The activity emphasized the significant role of every member of the school community in promoting safety and preparedness.
Through the observance of National DepEd School Safety Week, BPIHS reaffirms its commitment to fostering a secure and supportive learning environment where every learner can learn and thrive.

BPIHS PREPARES GRADE 12 LEARNERS FOR THE WORLD OF WORK!

The first day of October brought a meaningful beginning for Grade 12 HUMSS and TVL learners as Baras-Pinugay Integrated High School conducted the Parents’ Orientation on the Conduct of Work Immersion today, October 1, 2026.

The orientation provided an opportunity for the school and parents to come together in preparation for one of the most important learning experiences of Senior High School learners. Key information on the Work Immersion program, including learner responsibilities, expectations, requirements, and workplace readiness, was presented to ensure that both learners and parents are well-informed and prepared for the upcoming immersion experience.

Another significant part of the activity was the introduction and presentation of the Work Immersion Workbook and Manual. The materials will serve as important guides for learners throughout their immersion journey, helping them understand the activities, requirements, and responsibilities they are expected to accomplish during their workplace exposure.

The strong support and presence of parents made the activity even more meaningful. Their partnership with the school plays an important role in guiding the learners as they take their first steps toward experiencing the world of work.

BPIHS is grateful for the leadership and continued support of its School Principal, Dr. Rhene Boy F. Brozo, whose guidance strengthens the school’s efforts to provide meaningful learning opportunities for learners.

Also extending their support were Mizshiel F. Reyes, Officer-On-Charge, SHS, and Mary Rose SJ. Lacson, Grade 12 Coordinator who emphasized the importance of preparing learners not only for their immersion experience but also for the responsibilities and challenges they may encounter in the workplace.

The activity was initiated by Dr. John Kelvin S. Pantaleon, Work Immersion Coordinator, together with the Work Immersion focal persons, Roxanne D. Amahit and Jaspher S. Quirre, whose dedication and preparation contributed to the successful conduct of the orientation.

A promising month begins, and so does another meaningful chapter in the journey of our future professionals.

BPIHS continues to prepare, guide, and empower learners for the world beyond the classroom.

Maximizing Learning Gains into Tangible & Action-based Solutions

Teachers translated their learning into practice through the crafting of their Work and Action Plans (WAP), applying the knowledge, strategies, and insights gained from the INSET into concrete and purposeful plans for their professional practice.

The activity strengthened the connection between professional learning and actual practice as teachers developed concrete plans that respond to their needs and support improved teaching and learning. The INSET activities also concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing the active participation, commitment, and valuable contributions of the teachers throughout the training.

A meaningful culmination that provides teachers with worthwhile opportunities to learn from one another, reflect on their practice, and gain new perspectives that can contribute to their continued professional growth. The awarding ceremony added a meaningful note of recognition, celebrating the teachers’ participation, effort, and commitment throughout the training--making a profound bookend to the BPIHS' Term 1 PDP Inset.

Harnessing Technology and Responsible AI-use for Inclusive Learning.

PDP-In-Service Training for Teachers (INSET) placed emphasis on the meaningful integration of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching, with emphasis on differentiated instruction and the ethical use of emerging technologies in education

The sessions placed a premium on how AI and digital tools can help teachers respond to learner diversity by providing opportunities to tailor activities, resources, and learning experiences according to learners’ needs, readiness, interests, and strengths.

Beyond the use of technology, the discussions delved into the importance of professional judgment and ethical responsibility. Teachers were encouraged to use AI as support for planning, instruction, assessment, and differentiation while ensuring accuracy, data privacy, academic integrity, fairness, and learner welfare.

Through interactive and engaging discussions and hands-on activities PDP-INSET reinforced an important message that technology and AI are most valuable when they are used purposefully, responsibly, and in ways that make learning more responsive to every learner.

Term 1 PDP-INSET: Empowering Key Stage 3 and 4 Teachers Through Supportive, Responsive, Inclusive, and Technology-driven Teaching and Learning Towards Learners’ Positive Discipline.

Baras Pinugay Integrated High School continues to strengthen its teachers’ capacity to provide supportive, responsive, inclusive, and technology-driven teaching and learning experiences.

Through this initiative, teachers are encouraged to respond to the diverse needs of learners, promote positive discipline, and create classrooms where every learner feels respected, supported, and included.
