Happy National Intern Day! 

National Intern Day is an exciting celebration for the Office of Career Development & Professional Engagement as we recognize the students who are gaining valuable experience through internships.

Often considered one of the most impactful experiences on a resume, internships provide intentional, structured opportunities for students to apply what they are learning in the classroom to real-world professional environments.

“For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in a career that would allow me to help shape the stories being told and the books being published. However, it was not until coming to William & Mary and attending the Ferguson Blair seminar that I thought this dream could actually be a reality. Being awarded the Ferguson Blair Scholarship will allow me the opportunity to attend the Columbia Publishing Course this summer, where I look forward to exploring different careers within the industry, networking with publishing professionals, and developing more practical industry skills. I am honored and grateful for the support of the selections committee and the Ferguson and Blair families for making this opportunity possible.”

“I believe in the power of books to break down barriers, build empathy, champion nuance,
and foster connection among people. A role in the publishing industry will enable me to

Senior Signing Day is this Thursday! 🎓
W&M Seniors please join us to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026!

Senior Signing Day is a celebration of YOU and all that you’ve accomplished during your time as a W&M student. During this year’s Signing Day celebration, enjoy free food and refreshments, including Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and candy from Kilwins. You’ll also be able to take pictures with the Griffin, sign the Class of 2026 banner and be entered to win prizes, like Lego sets. To receive an applied learning cord to wear at graduation, please complete My Experience Portfolio (linked in bio) under ‘My Account’.
