✨Meet Emmy!🌟 She will be performing as Soldier Doll, 2nd Act Nutcracker, and Lead Russian (Trepak).

Emmy is an eleventh-grade homeschooler who attends Classical Conversations. She began dancing at VRB when she was six years old and has loved every minute of it. She enjoys the many styles of dance that she has grown to love at VRB, from ballet to character to lyrical, tap, and hip-hop. In her spare time, she loves to read, draw, and spend time with her sister and cousins. Emmy is excited to be dancing these new roles in this year’s Nutcracker!

🧥💙 Help Us Spread Some Warmth This Season! 💙🧥

Virginia Regional Ballet is hosting a Coat Drive! We’re collecting gently used coats, hats, and scarves at both of our studio locations to help keep members of our community warm this winter. ❄️

✨ Adult and children’s items are welcome! All donations will be given to a local community shelter.

🌟Meet Natalie!🌟 She will be performing as a Big Party Girl, Soldier, Chinese (Tea) Lead, Candy Cane, Waltz of the Flowers, as well as Klara Understudy and Snow Understudy.

Natalie began taking dance classes at the age of two and a half in Ramstein, Germany. She joined VRB in 2022, when she and her family moved to Virginia. This will be her fifth Nutcracker with Virginia Regional Ballet, and she's thrilled to be performing as Chinese Lead, as well as Party Girl, Soldier, Candy Cane, and Waltz of the Flowers. Natalie is currently in eighth grade, plays French horn in her middle school band, and is an editor of her school yearbook. When she's not dancing, Natalie enjoys shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She is hoping to one day become a professional ballerina.

✨ Meet Mandy! ✨ One of our fabulous high school senior dancers. She will be performing as a Big Party Girl, Snowflake, Lead Chinese (Tea), Russian (Trepak), Candy Cane, and Waltz of the Flowers.

Mandy started taking classical ballet classes at the age of 13 in Northern California after obtaining a black belt in martial arts. For the longest time, she would come home from taekwondo class and put on a tutu and leotard. So even though she started ballet a little later, she found her passion quickly, and she has been consumed with it ever since.
She moved on to study Russian ballet in Northern Virginia for 3 years, and now we have recently landed at Virginia Regional Ballet studio, where she is very happy and has made many new friends.
Mandy has a lot of talents and interests. She also plays the cello, knits, draws, and works very hard to get top grades and achieve her goals.
Mandy has had several roles in the Nutcracker over the past 4 years and loves every minute of it. This year, her roles are Big Party Girl, Snowflake, Chinese, Russian, Candy Cane, and Waltz of the Flowers. She loves finally being able to perform onstage for the audience after all the rehearsals and hours spent preparing for the big show.
Mandy's senior year is very busy. She is enrolled in a CNA program at New Horizon's Education Center. Her plans after graduating include joining a professional ballet company while pursuing a nursing career.

✨Meet Taryn!✨ One of our fabulous high school senior dancers. She will be performing as a Maid, Soldier Maiden, Snow, Mirliton (Marzipan), Russian (Trepak), and Waltz of the Flowers

Taryn has danced with VRB since she was five; she has enjoyed learning a variety of styles. This season marks her tenth Nutcracker performance with VRB; she has also performed in other productions and community performances with the company.
Outside of dance, Taryn is a Senior at Warhill High School working on her advanced studies diploma, taking DE, AP, and Honors classes. She is in several Honor Societies, numerous clubs, and is even Co-Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook. She looks forward to graduating in the spring and plans on attending college for a degree in Marketing.
Taryn can't wait to do the Nutcracker one last time with her VRB family!
