The Print Lab will CLOSED ALL THIS WEEK!!
The Library will be closed this Thursday, October 1st. BIC Room will also be closed on Thursday.
Students - as a reminder, if you check out a Chromebook or charger from the Library, you must turn it in to the Library or Mrs. Patterson the same day that you check it out. If you don’t, you will be assigned Lunch BIC the following day. It’s important that we have our full inventory available to students each morning. Thank you for your cooperation.
Students - if you attend after school tutoring, or after school detention and you need to ride our tutoring bus, please get a bus pass from the teacher you are with. If you’re an athlete and need to ride the bus, please stop by Mrs. Hall’s office and let her know your name and the sport you play and she will add you to the list of athletes who access the tutoring bus.
Attention WHS students! Yearbooks are now on sale for $45! Make sure to order yours soon because the price will go up in October! Yearbooks can be purchased with cash or check. Bring your payment to Mrs. Jacquez in Room 307.
Seniors: Senior Ad order forms have also been sent home! If your family would like to purchase a special senior ad for the yearbook, make sure they check the form for pricing and important deadlines. See Mrs. Jacquez in Room 307 with any questions!

Information for parents/guardians: PHOTO RETAKES!!!

Retake Picture Day is coming up on:

Wednesday, Oct 7

If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.

If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.

Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 0707XTF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account.

The first edition of the WHS Press - our new school newspaper - will be available this Thursday during our mentor class. Please ask your mentor for a copy. Our featured seniors for this edition are: Serenity Camacho, JD Whetten, Mariah Holguin, Juan Hernandez, and Arely Vasquez. Thank you seniors for your time - we appreciate you. Congratulations to Sree Pillai for receiving the September WHS Spirit of Willcox award from his peers. Mr. Pillai is always available when staff or students need his help. He spends countless hours in After School Tutoring and Friday School and is a tutor for our Migrant families at the Wi******er Heights Community Center. He's an amazing StuCo sponsor and ensures that all fundraising requests get a chance to be heard by StuCo. He received a certificate and a gift card to Apple Annie's. Great job Mr. Pillai!!

WHS Student Council will be hosting a float for the Rex Allen Days Parade in celebration of WHS being accredited for over 100 years. Good morning WHS students! We will continue with our Awareness classes at the high school this Wednesday, September 16th, 2026. Every week, an invitation to participate will be emailed to you and participation in our Awareness classes is totally voluntary. The sessions will be held every Wednesday in room 106. Hey seniors, did you know that the Journalism class is creating a newspaper? There will be an email sent to you from a student in our Journalism class requesting an interview for WHS Press. Please respond to let us know when you will be available!
Journalism class is creating a collection box for your questions, called “Ask the Cowgirl Queens”. Stop by the counseling office to drop in your anonymous questions, they may be featured with an answer in our new school newspaper, The WHS Press.
Any student who needs their log-in information for their PowerSchool account is encouraged to meet with Mrs. Patterson before school, during lunch, or after school and they must have their Chromebook with them. A letter will be sent home this week, to assist families to create their own account for PowerSchool.
