Another great start to the 25-26 school year!
Students have been challenged to make a 3-D name “tent”, shape one of their favorite things with play dough and work together as a class to master daily seating challenges. We ended our first week with a class “toast”! Avocado 🥑 toast that is!

Progress day 2:
We discussed advertising & connecting with our network. Foods classes set a goal which hopefully will be reached quickly to gain momentum & inspire students to set a much higher goal! 3 foods 1 classes + 3 other FCS classes + FCCLA members (not yet on board due to meeting times) leading the initiative. Also, we baked more 🍪!
We hope to see everyone at our first event hosted in the new gym Tuesday night for the volleyball 🏐 games & at the JV football 🏈 game next Thursday against West. Bring some dollars 💵 to donate and unite with us to support our neighbors in need, Avery Co. Making every dollar count! Wilkes Central High School CTE Wilkes

Wisconsin 2023 Entrepreneurship Workshop Recap…
Day 6
Final day & beginning of the journey back to NC. This week in addition to the tours, speakers and adventures we worked in teams to create a business and pitch for the final activity which included “shark” investors. Our team created Mmm Chutney. We tested our recipe, created marketing materials and explained our concept to judges. It was then time to move out and say goodbyes to Osseo-Fairchild HS and friends. Look at that beautiful Koi pond! A jam packed week of learning and networking with awesome educators around the US. The trip home included a few cheese shop stops to bring back a few Wisconsin samples of items tasted, a yummy milkshake break and more cheese from Fair Oaks Farm, a second stop at Bucees (of course) and the Lexington Kentucky farmers market. I ❤️ farmers markets! I am super excited to share what I learned with students this year! 23-24 is going to be the best year yet!
