Holy Redeemer High School was founded in 2007 after the consolidation of Luzerne County's Catholic high schools. Today, the Royal family combines the best of its founding schools' traditions, values, and programs to offer outstanding academic, athletic, and school programs to students in grades 9 - 12. lly sound college prep education. We offer five levels of academic programs: advanced placement (AP), honors, college prep, modified college prep, and Individualized Instruction to offer students of all abilities a challenging and rewarding high school education. On average, 98% of our students go on to attend a college or university after graduation, and they earn an average of $18,000,000 in scholarships each year. Our students also have SAT scores that are consistently above national averages, and some 95% of our students take the test. We offer a vibrant athletic program that includes state championship teams, and we provide numerous opportunities for students to excel outside the classroom through clubs and organizations. This past Friday, we celebrated the official kickoff of the Class of 2027's senior year with our annual Senior Sunrise and Breakfast. Despite the foggy morning, seniors had a great time making memories at the Wilkes-Barre River Common Park! Special shoutout to Mr. Angeloni for coordinating the event, to Jodi, Sandy, and Diane for cooking and serving the delicious breakfast, and to Mrs. Barrett, Mrs. Fink, Mrs. Pacelli, Mr. Scinto, and Ms. Serino for waking up extra early to chaperone! The countdown is on, Class of 2027!

What a great first week ! Thanks to all of our students and staff for their energy, patience, flexibility, and countless smiles. The first week always comes with a little chaos, a lot of excitement, and plenty of memorable moments.

On Monday we welcomed the Class of 2030 to our annual Freshman Orientation. Students spent the day meeting new people, touring the school, and learning all about what it means to be a part of the Royal family. Special shoutout to members of the Student Leadership Council, who gave up their last day of summer vacation, to lead the activities for the day, and a special thanks to McCarthy Tire Service for donating the ice cream treats at lunch!

Mr. Brozena will be teaching US History, Ms. Warman (Welcome BACK!) is teaching AP Calculus, Honors Pre Calc and Pre Calc. Mrs. Valenti is teaching 3D Art, Ms. Orlando has Civics and Government and Mr. Scanlan is on board to teach World History. Welcome to the Royal Family !
