JA NEPA had a great evening connecting with corporate and community leaders at Wednesday’s Regional Chamber Mixer!

It was a great opportunity to connect with members of the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce, Back Mountain Chamber, and Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce, all in one place.

It was also great to see so many familiar faces! Many of those in attendance are regular JA YES! day volunteer mentors and JA Inspire exhibitors who continue to give their time and share their experiences with students throughout our region.

We’re grateful for the strong community partnerships that make JA’s work possible and for everyone who continues to show up for our students. Thank you for a great evening!

JA is getting ready for fall in a big way in Columbia County! This October, JA is bringing the Inspire to Hire Career Exploration Experience to Berwick Area High School, thanks to the generous support of our presenting sponsor Geisinger.

On October 14, the event will connect junior and senior Berwick Bulldogs, as well as Columbia/Montour Vo Tech seniors with more than 30 exhibitors representing a variety of career industries.

There’s still time to be part of it! JA is currently seeking additional businesses and organizations to register as exhibitors and help students explore the career opportunities available right here in our region.

Our team is working hard to plan an impactful experience for students as they begin thinking about their futures and exploring the career opportunities available to them.

We’re excited to bring JA Inspire to Hire to Berwick this fall and grateful to Geisinger for investing in this experience for Columbia County students!

Interested in exhibiting? Register today and be part of the experience! https://nepa.ja.org/events/opportunity/ja-inspire-to-hire

On Wednesday, JA's Jenelle, Kellie, and Allison had the opportunity to attend the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce ATHENA Leadership Luncheon, an inspiring afternoon led by past ATHENA recipients Katie McCarthy Lambert, Kathi Banks, Ruth Borland, Sarah Borland, and Elizabeth Graham. The event was filled with powerful reminders about what leadership really looks like.

One message especially stood out: Lead with courage, wisdom, and honor.

Leadership doesn’t always come with a title. It’s about finding your voice, speaking up, advocating for others, taking risks, thinking strategically, and having the courage to turn ideas into action. It’s also about understanding where others are coming from, using the mentors and advocates around you, giving back, and celebrating the contributions of others.

Katie McCarthy Lambert challenged us to ask ourselves: “What type of leadership role can I take on today?”

Such a great question to carry with us, not just professionally, but in how we serve our organizations and our communities.

Congratulations to 2026 ATHENA recipient Stacey Kile of Geisinger, and thank you to all of the past recipients who shared their experiences, wisdom, and encouragement today.

We left inspired to find our voices, take the risk, tackle the mountain, and lead with courage.

Help us welcome Kellie to the Junior Achievement of NEPA team!

After spending much of her career in sales, Kellie was ready to take her experience in a new direction, one that offered more purpose, a stronger connection to her community, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

“I’ve spent years building my career, but I’ve realized that what I really want when I ‘grow up’ is to do something that has a positive impact.” — Kellie

Kellie is excited to bring the skills, experience, and relationships she’s built throughout her career to JA, helping us strengthen community connections and create opportunities that inspire and prepare the next generation.

We’re thrilled to have her on the team and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make!
Welcome to JA, Kellie!
