🍉 Watermelon Fun at Hazleton! 🍉

Our Hazleton Pre-K Class B enjoyed a sweet summer learning adventure inspired by The Watermelon Seed by Greg Pizzoli! 📖

After reading the story together, the children explored their creativity by designing their own watermelon slices using popsicle sticks, paint sticks, and crayons. As they built and decorated their colorful creations, they strengthened fine motor skills, practiced following directions, and expressed their unique artistic ideas.

Hands-on activities like these help bring stories to life while making learning fun and meaningful. Great job, friends! ❤️💚🍉

Splish, splash—it's Fine Motor Friday! Our children had a wonderful time strengthening their little hands through exciting water play activities.

Using droppers, squeeze tools, scoops, and floating objects, they practiced hand-eye coordination, built finger strength, and refined the fine motor skills that support everyday tasks like writing, cutting, and self-care.

The best part? Learning happened through play, exploration, and plenty of smiles! We love creating engaging experiences that help our children develop important skills while having fun. 💧

🥕🍎 Learning About Healthy Choices at Kiddie Space Heights! 🍎🥕

Our Preschool and School Age classrooms enjoyed a special visit from Mr. Rolly, a nutrition educator from Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO)! He taught us about the importance of healthy eating, how different foods help our bodies grow strong, and the food groups they belong to.

The fun continued outside as the children played an interactive game sorting foods into fruits, vegetables, and other food groups. It was a hands-on way to reinforce healthy habits while having a great time!

🧈 Farm Week at the Nesbitt Center! 🚜🌾

Our Pre-K friends discovered where butter comes from in the most exciting way—by making it themselves! After taking turns shaking heavy cream, the children watched as it transformed into fresh, homemade butter.

The best part? Spreading their very own butter on crackers and tasting the delicious results! Experiences like these help children explore science, build patience and teamwork, and make learning come alive through hands-on discovery.
