The Fun Family Tribe decided to head east to a new land!
-
We were at a breaking point. It was either wilt in the wilderness or thrive in the tropics. If you have followed our story you know bits and pieces of the trial.
-
Let me sum it up. We didn’t give up. We didn’t loose hope. We kept pressing on, even when it felt hopeless. Even when all the roads came to an end. But this story is not about that. This story is one of faith and promise.
-
We packed up what little belongings we had left and began our cross country road trip. We kissed the RV life goodbye and set off to a new homeland. We didn’t know how long we would be there. We weren’t sure if this new venture would take off and sprout.
-
Here are the first pictures of our journey. Traveling light, and by that I mean, our burdens were God’s burdens. He said, “go,” so we go.
-
Have you ever had a moment in your life where nothing makes sense? A point where you don’t know how much lower you can go? A breaking point? And the only thing that propels you forward is what seems the most difficult? But in all of it there is a promise of hope. Yah, that was us.
-
Stay tuned. It gets better. We love you California, but it has been overdue to say goodbye.

Can’t believe we will be celebrating 22 years! I always wondered what older couples meant when they said, “marriage gets better with age.”
-
We have had turbulent years. We have had years where we lost our way. Some of those years we failed to love.
-
But by the strength and grace of the Lord I love this man more than ever. It almost feels like a 2nd honeymoon. I think we have realized that things don’t last forever, friends come and go, money can be made again, but my sweetheart is irreplaceable.
-
We purposed in our hearts that in order to have a healthy family, we would need to have an even stronger marriage. We definitely are not perfect, yet we are perfectly made for each other.
-
Recipe for a healthy marriage:
Start with a bowl full of faith.
Add in a huge dose of forgiveness.
Mix in lots of fun.
The rest is up to you.

My baby girl came in my office to bring me a gift from her heart. To her they are just pancakes; to me they are priceless.

Me: Aww, thank you sweetie! I feel like such a Queen.
BG: That’s because you’re my Queen, mama.
Me: 😭😭😭 hugs kisses

I’m so thankful to the Lord for giving me my baby girl. She’s so precious.

Catching some fun in the sun with friends at our last minute mini family getaway.
-
We were able to get the last room our friends were staying at. It was walking distance to beach and restaurants. The unit needed some major updating, but we were with friends so we didn’t think much about it.
-
The sandbar and snorkeling was lovely! The kids had such a blast at Clearwater beach.

Finishing off our field trip with one of my favorite ocean mammals. The show was entertaining. I liked it when they wove the American flags in the air! So cute!

Since I started a full time job on top of everything else, I was doing so bad on my eating! I’m trying to loose not gain! 🤪

So, I decided Monday’s are my prep days. I seriously don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m determined to get back up! Herb salmon with apple and spinach salad for lunch it is.

I welcome ideas! Help! Lol

We decided to visit the Theater of the Sea during our Keys family getaway.
-
This marine animal park and botanical garden is a fun addition to your family vacation...especially if you have kids who are animal lovers.
-
Check-in was very easy and they give you an option if you want to snorkel with fish as part of the admission. You can return to your hotel, get your swimsuit and head back to their mock beach while various fish await your arrival!

Fun Family Movie Night
-
We are picking a classic Disney movie to watch one time a month and make a themed party. This month was Lilo & Stich.
-
I wasn’t able to do everything I wanted, so I scoured our house to find what I can use for our theme. I bought pre-made food from Aldi and laid out a yummy Hawaiian inspired spread.
-
The menu:
-Hawaiian Tacos
-Cuban sandwiches on Hawaiian bread
-Cuban kettle chips
-Cherry pie with sea salt ice cream (word play on the ‘sea’)
-Coconut shrimp
-Tropical fruit
-Homemade 100% juice Hawaiian punch

Let me know if this inspires you! Don’t worry if you don’t do it the same. Sometimes putting a plastic table cloth and adding a simple dessert makes it that much more special. It’s about creating memories, not about perfection!

I enjoy playing in the key of sea. The ocean makes the most beautiful music.

Kids couldn’t wait to dive in the water and test out their snorkel gear. Sadly, it was not the best time for viewing creatures as the water was pretty murky. But we had a blast and created memories.

We are ice cream aficionados, so, off to this cool ice cream place for a treat and some pics.
—
We ended the day with a delicious meal and divine sunset.
