We've had such a wonderful time getting to know one another and becoming
part of our classroom family! Our Ladybug class is learning our daily routines, exploring all of the exciting centers in our classroom, and discovering how our classroom jobs help us work together. We are also taking time to learn and practice our classroom rules and expectations. Most importantly, we are getting to know each other, building friendships, and learning how to be caring and respectful members of our classroom family. We’re so excited for all the learning, exploring, and fun that is ahead!

Growing, Learning & Thriving Together 🌱
Throughout the year, our teachers carefully observe and document each child’s daily experiences through anecdotal records. These observations capture children’s activities, interactions, interests, and progress across all areas of development. This ongoing documentation helps us understand each child as an individual and recognize their unique strengths, needs, and areas for growth. 💛At conference time, teachers meet with families to share these observations and revise the developmental report. Together, they then develop an individual plan specific to each child, supporting their continued learning and development in meaningful, age-appropriate ways. Every child is unique. Every child is growing. Every child deserves a plan that is uniquely theirs. ❤️

In the Sunshine Room, we start our year by talking about emotions. Early on, we learn to identify, express, and regulate our emotions—skills that help guide us throughout the year. We encourage the children to recognize and name how they are feeling, even when they are sad, angry, or upset. We remind them that they are safe to feel whatever emotions come their way, and then we provide them with the tools and strategies to work through those feelings. Creating an environment where all emotions—big or small—are welcomed and encouraged is an important part of helping children feel safe, supported, and loved at school.

✂️ Snip, Snip... We're Off to a Great Start! ✂️
Our Transitional Kindergarten friends are already hard at work during their Early Start weeks of school! With excitement, and lots of concentration, the children have been practicing one of their "big kid" skills—using scissors! Snip by snip, they're learning how to hold their scissors correctly while strengthening the fine motor muscles they'll use for writing. t's amazing to see their confidence grow with every little cut! We're so proud of our newest TK learners for jumping into school with such enthusiasm and curiosity. This is just the beginning of a year filled with learning, laughter, new friendships, and plenty of exciting adventures! 💙 Here's to a year of growing, creating, and making memories—one snip at a time!

Water fun has been a big hit lately in our Rainbow and Sunshine Rooms! ☀️💦 Our little learners had an exciting summer experience as teachers filled small pools with water and soft colorful balls for sensory play and exploration. The fun continued with bubbles floating through the air and sprinklers splashing away, giving children lots of choices to cool off, play, and enjoy a warm summer day with friends.

June has been an exciting and joy-filled month packed with special events — open houses, graduations, Muffins with Moms, and Donuts with Dads! In the Sunshine Room, our classroom was transformed into a beautiful showcase of the children’s hard work and creativity. Families enjoyed displays featuring our month-long study of The Farm, including projects about farm animals, seed sprouting, and growing vegetables. The children delighted everyone with a special song presentation, and each child received a keepsake booklet filled with photos and journal memories from their time in class. A Special Visit to Our Transitional Kindergarten Classroom! 🚑
The Transitional Kindergarten children were thrilled to welcome two very special guests this week—Noah’s dad, Officer Engineer Mark a FAE Paramedic and Officer Engineer Anthony! The children were fascinated as officer Mark demonstrated how paramedics check vital signs by measuring Noah’s blood pressure and pulse using a sophisticated medical monitor. He also introduced the class to his impressive emergency medical kit, filled with the tools and supplies used to help people during accidents, fires, and other emergencies. The excitement continued outside, where the children had the opportunity to learn about the specialized equipment and advanced technology that the paramedic truck carries. They eagerly asked questions and gained a deeper understanding of the important role first responders play in keeping our communities safe. To top off this unforgettable experience, each child received a firefighter badge before waving goodbye as the emergency vehicle departed with its flashing lights and exciting sounds. A heartfelt thank you to our CalFire paramedics for sharing their time, expertise, and passion with our students. What a wonderful hands-on learning experience for everyone!
