🚒🧑‍🚒🔥Fire Prevention Week gave us the opportunity to participate in the elementary fire drill at WC. We also shared important information on electric bike and electric scooter safety, and of course fire safety and fire prevention. All students were given handouts in their Friday folders. We ask that parents review the information with their children and encourage safety and the use of helmets. More pictures to come this week as the 4th grade will visit the fire station and we’ll visit the preschool classes.

Tonight members from DeWitt,
Clatonia, Dorchester, & Wilber held a joint training session. They ran 3 different EMS scenarios focusing on removing patients from vehicles and assessing their injuries. Last night our department trained with the rescue airbags to practice our cribbing and stabilization tactics. One example of how we can use these tools is to allow us to lift and free trapped victims from underneath heavy machinery.
