Our welding team showed up and showed out at the recent welding competition at MGCCC George County. There were 19 total welders at the event.🏆
Chance Roberts - Year II - 3rd place
Carson Baxter - Year I - 5th place
Ryley Byrd - Year I - 6th place
Alex Baxter - Year II - 8th place
Ethan Ladner - Year I - 9th place

These students performed five oxy fuel cuts and two weld tests. They cut out objects that they had drawn out from a print and put two weld coupons together. The time for each category was one hour for a total of two hours. They were up against the top two welding programs in the state and performed very well! We are very proud of the young men's accomplishments and their instructor Mr. Ben Hare!!
