This past weekend, Terry Tusim, a longtime COAR supporter and volunteer, visited the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas and the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Churchas part of the Mission Cooperative Plan. One of the highlights of the weekend was the community that helped Terry spread the message so graciously of COAR in Spanish. Terry later enjoyed a nice drive throughout the countryside of upstate New York.

Our wonderful volunteer, Ana Ventura-Molina, visited Our Lady of Good Counsel and St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Brooklyn as part of the Mission Cooperative Plan.

Fr. Juan reminded the congregation that they could entrust COAR's mission to God in prayer. It was a beautiful reminder that every act of generosity, whether through prayer, encouragement, or financial support, helps sustain our mission. Ana was also grateful for the kindness of the music ministry, who offered guidance on her bilingual appeal and even provided transportation between the two churches.

Volunteer Ana Ventura-Molina and Executive Director Kyle Carter both visited Chicago to speak at St. Pius X and St. Leonard this past weekend; the two campuses belong to Blessed Miguel Pro Catholic Parish. One of the highlights of the weekend was Fr. Bobby's thoughtful homily reflecting on St. Óscar Romero's life and ultimate sacrifice. Fr. Bobby and some parishioners generously organized an outing to a local deep dish pizza joint between masses, pictured here.

Development Manager Valeria Martinez visited St. Barbara Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, NY this past weekend. What a beautiful church! Valeria enjoyed getting to know the parish while exploring a bit of Brooklyn between Masses.

Peace be with you!

Executive Director Kyle Carter was also on the road last weekend, traveling to Toronto to speak at St. James Parish. On the way to the mission appeal, he made a quick stop at Niagara Falls, pictured here.

Kyle enjoyed chatting with visiting priest Fr. François after Mass. Fr. François was back in his native Canada while taking a break from his own missionary work in Brazil.

This past Sunday, COAR's Programs Director, Susan Dinehart, and her brother, Fr. Jeffrey Barnish, visited the parish of St. John the Evangelist to share COAR's mission of creating the fertile, rich soil that allows the kids we serve to grow in their faith and vocations. Thank you to St. Matthew Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for welcoming us this past weekend for a Mission Cooperative Plan appeal!

Nicole Pineda, a COAR volunteer of Salvadoran heritage, had the opportunity to share with parishioners about our mission of providing shelter, education, and hope to resilient children in El Salvador. She appreciated the kindness of the parishioners and ushers who helped her get settled throughout the weekend.

We are grateful to Fr. Randy Campos, Archbishop José H. Gomez, and everyone in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for the opportunity to participate in this year's Mission Cooperative Plan!

Thank you to St. Maria Goretti Church - Long Beach for welcoming us this past weekend for a mission appeal!

COAR volunteer Ana Ventura-Molina shared with parishioners about our mission of providing shelter, education, and hope to resilient children in El Salvador. During her visit, Ana was blessed by the warm hospitality of the parish community, especially Miriam, who took her out to breakfast and shared her cherished memories of meeting St. Óscar Romero.
