Our summer excursion students had a blooming good time this week learning all about sunflowers! π»
Second and third graders even got to plant their own flowers and are excited to continue caring for them throughout the rest of summer excursion. Hands-on learning, growing responsibility, and lots of fun made for a wonderful week of exploration and discovery! π±βοΈπ

Congratulations to the winner of a special electric guitar giveaway! πΈ
This guitar was generously donated, and we wanted to recognize our 5th-grade students for their positive behavior and participation throughout the year. Students earned points in specials for demonstrating great behavior, as well as for participating in Field Day and our annual kickball game. The top three point earners from each class were entered into a drawing.
Along with the guitar, the winner received a certificate, a care package, and information about local guitar lessons to help her begin her musical journey.
A huge thank you to our donor for providing this amazing opportunity for one of our students! ππ€πΈ πΆππ€

Our 1st graders are building their phonics skills during Summer Excursion by working on compound words! Students had a great time combining smaller words to create new words while practicing reading. Learning continues all summer long as our young learners strengthen their literacy skills through engaging and hands-on activities. Way to go, 1st grade! ππ

We celebrated our amazing 5th grade graduates as they walked the halls of Jefferson lead by former Jefferson seniors one last time before heading off to middle school! ππ€
We also loved welcoming back former Jefferson students who are now graduating high school. Seeing our past and present students together was such a special reminder that once you are part of the Jefferson family, you are always part of it.
Congratulations to all of our graduates β your futures are bright, and we canβt wait to see all the incredible things you accomplish! β¨
