We know there are several new tools for families to use this year, while the goal is condensing tools to help, it can be confusing to know where to go for what when we are first learning them. We have a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) at www.derbyschools.com/ParentSquare.

Some have asked, "What is ParentSquare not replacing? Which tools/apps do I need to keep?"

ParentSquare is now the district's primary communication platform, replacing most communication tools such as Skylert, Remind, TeamReach, ClassDojo and other apps used for district, school, classroom, team and activity updates.

ParentSquare DOES NOT replace Skyward Family Access, Canvas, other learning management systems or district email. Families and students will continue to use those systems for student information, grades, assignments and other instructional purposes.

Think of it this way: ParentSquare is for communication; Skyward Family Access is for student information.

Kindergarten students have staggered attendance days.

Students with last names starting with A-M come to school on Wednesday - August 13

Student with last names starting with N-Z come to school Thursday - August 14.

All kindergarteners come to school on Friday - August 15.

Dear Families.
This year we are making some changes regarding how students are dropped off at the front of the school.

New procedures for front of school drop-off:
1. No vehicles will be allowed to park by the curb next to the school sidewalk.
2. We will have a designated drop-off lane. Please remain in your car and have your child exit on the passenger side of the car.
3. Busses will be pulled all the way forward. Please do not park in this area.

If you are dropping your student off by the east side entrance, the procedure will be same as last year.

Click your name in the top right, then manage account to set your notification and language preferences. You choose your message frequency. Do you want your messages instantly? Or one digest each evening? You decide!

Notification preferences in ParentSquare are not all-or-nothing for your entire account. You can customize your notification settings for each school or district you are associated with. This means you can choose different notification methods and frequencies (such as Instant, Digest or Off) for each school or district individually. On the mobile app, you can also toggle custom settings on or off to apply the same or different preferences for each school. Currently, notification customization is available at the school or district level, not for specific groups.

Hello Wineteer Families!

Back 2 School Night will look different this year. Instead of the traditional come and go, we are asking parents to sign up for 10 minute conferences. This will allow staff to focus on getting to know families individually.

Class lists are scheduled to go live this afternoon on Skyward. To help you sign up for the conference please refer to the flyer below.
