We had a lovely time at our Banquet on Monday celebrating our seniors and all of our accomplishments! We will miss our seniors and hope that everyone has a fantastic summer!

These kids deserve the world, but today we’ll settle for a pancake party 🎉 🥞

Our FINAL collaborator spotlight is the local Celtic band Knocknasheega! It’s been so fun having fiddler Brooke Wonsetler Browning out to work with the kids to learn how to fiddle and chop and SING!

For today’s Collaborator Spotlight we have The Brazilian Nights! This married couple duo have extensive solo careers but also share their love of Jonatas’ native Brazil through sharing Brazilian music together as a duo here in Wichita.

Today’s collaborator spotlight are sisters Divya and Moukthika! This one has maybe been one of our most challenging pieces because it is the most different from our regular literature, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to expand our musical horizons! I can’t wait to share how their dancing enhances our experience!

For our collaborator spotlight today we have Alma and Oscar Aglano! Not only is Ms. Aglano the parent of one of our orchestra members, but she is also one of the math teachers at NW! Thank you to both of them for joining us!

Today’s collaborator spotlight is current Northwest artist Dakota Johnson! The thoughtfulness and care that goes into his art is evident in the piece he created to go along with our music from the Ukraine.

Today’s Collaborator Spotlight: artist Anahi Ticum! A graduate of Northwest High School, her art continues to display the beauty of her native Guatemala!
We will showcase one of her paintings entitled “Festival of Kites” at our concert next week!

Today’s collaborator spotlight is Dr. Canes Nicolas! He introduced us to a Haitian piece last semester, and we’re grateful he agreed to play percussion with us on another piece this semester!

Today’s Collaborator Spotlight is the Lion Dance Club from East High School! We are so grateful they’ve agreed to come and share their talent and their culture with us next week!
