Wichita is part of Kansas Music Cities Together, a year-long program to help Kansas communities better support their local music ecosystems. Weโre looking for many voices, including organizations and individuals like you, to help us spread the word when the survey launches. The commitment itself is small: we just ask that you share the census with your network and encourage people to participate.

Now on view at Wichita Art Museum: ADCI alum Eden Quispe (BFA โ08) in a solo exhibition, "Narrative Threads."
Drawing from her experiences growing up between Wichita and rural Kansas, Quispe creates richly layered textile works that explore motherhood, family, culture, and memory.
Incorporating vintage embroidery, family clothing, children's toys, and other meaningful materials, her quilted collages honor generations of women's creative labor while reflecting the joyful chaos of raising a family.

Graphic design seniors from Wichita Stateโs School of Art, Design and Creative Industries partnered with Dzanc Publishing to create original paperback covers for real-world publication projectsโworking directly with authors and publishers from concept to final design. Big shoutout to Assistant Professor Joshua Smith for guiding the collaboration and helping students gain hands-on experience in the publishing world.
Weโre proud to see our studentsโ creativity in action through this Shocker Career Accelerator feature. Story link in comments.
