Wichita Public Schools is committed to maximizing every available funding source to support students, staff and schools across the district. Spaght Magnet Elementary School is anticipated to receive $615,000 for an HVAC controls upgrade, HVAC optimization throughout the building, and LED lighting upgrades through a federal energy grant. 📸 Spaght Families: Picture Day is coming!

Fall Picture Day is Friday, September 25th!

Students will have a FREE DRESS DOWN DAY for pictures, so they may wear an outfit of their choice.

In addition to the WPS bond proposal, the district has a five-year Capital Improvement Plan to address ongoing facility needs at all schools. If the 2026 Wichita Public Schools bond passes, capital funds would be used at Spaght Magnet Elementary School to replace Pre-K playground equipment and replace eight sections of roof over the next five years. Without the bond, these projects may take more than five years to complete. Learn how this bond will impact all WPS buildings at wpsbond.org.
