No experience required and family friendly, this is just one of the activities on tap at the Guild's Midsummer Faire on Saturday, June 27th! All supplies are included, with personal instruction, for just 2 tickets ($5 each). Admission is free, and we have plenty of things to do and see for all ages! Check out the details and drop in any time from 10 am - 3 pm (or before 1 pm if you want to do some dyeing). And there will be home-baked pie. π₯° https://wichitaweavers.prairiefibers.org/2nd-annual-midsummer-faire/

Indigo dyeing is flat out magic! Watching your fiber/fabric turn from light green to blue after the first dip is kind of addicting. π If you like a lighter blue, you can stop there, but most people go on to two or three dips for the iconic dark blue. You can do this magic yourself at our Midsummer Faire this Saturday, June 27 from 10 am - 1 pm! Bring your own fiber, yarn, fabric or t-shirt (that will fit in a large cooking pot) of cotton, wool, linen, or buy a fat quarter while supplies last. You can do some tie-dye-like resists for a shibori effect, dip only partway for a gradient, or make it a gorgeous solid! Nancy Squire will be on hand to walk you through the process and provide tips and instruction. It's only $10 (2 tickets) per item. π₯° Be aware that there's a waiting time between dips - but there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy in the intervals. https://wichitaweavers.prairiefibers.org/2nd-annual-midsummer-faire/
