Sewing allows both sides of your brain to work simultaneously, in harmony & unison, expanding our creative problem-solving capabilities (at any age). The right side - creativity, intuition, imagination - is often utilized during Fashion Design. The left - analytical, logical - during Sewing (setting up the machine, proper tension, symmetry in patterns). That's why we often hear how sewing is both fun yet challenging & frustrating.

However, we can all agree the process & journey of overseeing a project through (from concept to completion, no matter the outcome) is the greatest feeling & the ultimate reward!❤️

1. An introduction to sewing machine basics, layout & construction, textile properties & understanding one basic commercial pattern each week (and how to customize/resize/redesign it🤩).
2. Technical instruction to master the foundations (our specific project-based classes are coming in July! For example, Button-down, Vintage Blouse, Hoodie, etc.). All classes are catered towards complete beginners/no experience necessary. Also perfect as a refresher.
3. Small class sizes for an intimate learning experience. Can't make it to class? No worries! Book a Private Appointment for one-on-one instruction where you can bring in your own machine. Or your own Private Group (Adult+Child, Couples, Family, Friends, Team-building).

Starting with SEW YOU for Teens in our Wichita & surrounding communities.✨️ A special 2-day mentorship, workshop, networking & self-exploration experience where Teens will learn how to sew & create a wearable art piece inspired by the exhibit "Framed in Friendship." Most importantly, create lasting friendships inspired by ART, learning to love & express themselves in a safe, inspiring, nurturing environment.
