Beginning Ballet Classes for Adults in Wichita

Ballet Wichita’s beginning ballet class for adults will start NEXT FRIDAY, 6-7:30pm. I will have the privilege of teaching it for a couple of months, but unfortunately, my schedule changes in March so another teacher will take it over then. All of Ballet Wichita’s teachers are good, though. And such a great sprung floor!!

ADULT BEGINNING BALLET CLASS START DELAYED

The Adult Beginning Ballet Class in Derby is delayed. The FIRST CLASS will be 1/25, 6-7pm.

BEGINNING BALLET CLASS FOR ADULTS 🎉😁

WHEN: Tuesdays 5-6pm
DURATION: 1/11/22 - 3/15/22, ten weeks
WHERE: Hubbard Art Center in Derby (On Woodlawn near Madison)
COST: $130 with 4 students; $160 with 3 students

WHERE: Hubbard Art Center (Woodlawn & Madison)

WHEN: Three (3) Choices below - Please indicate in comments which works best for you

Monday 7:30 - 8:30pm 12 week session, 1/31 - 4/18

OR

Tuesday 6-7pm 8 week session, 1/4 - 2/22

OR

Thursday 6-7pm 8 week session, 1/6 - 2/24

TUITION: Depends on how many enroll (most likely between $13 and $16 per class)

WEAR: any clothing that is comfortable, stays put, and allows for movement and correction (i.e. not too baggy of pants so the teacher can see if the students knees are bent or straight); ballet shoes (leather or canvas) or jazz shoes recommended; HAIR - suggest that long hair is pulled back and/or up in style that is not distracting to student; short hair should be clipped back away from face

BRING: bottle of water

WHO: Class taught by Elizabeth Oppermann, the director of Dance for JESUS Ballet School. Elizabeth's training was mostly with Ballet Pacifica in Laguna Beach, CA. She has danced since she was 4 and has taught ballet and tap for 20 years, 3 of which have been here in the Wichita area. Elizabeth LOVES sharing her love of music and movement with students of all ages!

ADULT BALLET CLASS

Where: Senseney Music/Wichita Center for Performing Arts (9112 E Central Ave between Rock & Webb)
When: Saturdays, 2pm
Who: Adults and Teens that are at least INTERMEDIATE level ballet dancers :)
Wear: Any comfortable clothing that allows movement plus ballet or jazz shoes or even socks
Why: To enjoy MOVING THE BALLET WAY to lovely CLASSICAL MUSIC

*Wichita Center for Performing Arts; this facility is GREAT for MOM CLASSES because it has an indoor PLAY AREA FOR KIDS not far from the danceroom! Just bring a grandparent or older sibling to watch your younger ones, and you are all set to enjoy class!
