The Kansas Food Bank will be offering free summer meals for Wichits kids Monday, July 27, and Monday, Aug. 3.

As Wichita families get ready to send their children back to school, HOPE Wichita is stepping in to help.

The organization's annual backpack giveaway is this Saturday, taking place at seven different locations throughout Wichita, where families can get supplies and services to prepare for the upcoming year.

🎒 Need school supplies for the upcoming school year? 📚

Families in our community are invited to attend Hope Wichita Free on Saturday, July 25 beginning at 9:00 a.m. (Parking opens at 7:00 a.m.)

Students can receive FREE backpacks (while supplies last; child must be present), along with groceries and access to valuable community resources.

There are multiple Wichita locations available, making it easy for families to participate. See the flyer below for the location closest to you.

Mark your calendar, it'll soon be time for enrollment!

We have online and in-person options:

📌 Online enrollment for the 2026-27 school year will be available for grades 1-12 starting Tuesday, July 7. Kindergarteners should enroll in person to take the Ages and Stages Questionnaire.

📌 In-person enrollment will be 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, July 27-28, at WPS schools.

📌For our families who speak other languages, we will have Centralized Multilingual Enrollment 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 9, and Monday, July 13, at the district administrative center, 903 S. Edgemoor.
