We’re excited to see KU School of Medicine–Wichita and Family & Community Medicine graduate Dr. Aaron Holt beginning his next chapter in McPherson! Congratulations, Dr. Holt, and best wishes to you and your family!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Aaron Holt and his family to McPherson!

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Aaron Holt to the McPherson Center for Health family! Dr. Holt is looking forward to serving patients and families in our community beginning this September.

A graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine – Wichita, Dr. Holt completed his Family Medicine residency at Wesley Medical Center. He chose family medicine because of the opportunity to care for patients through every stage of life, from newborns to older adults.

Dr. Holt has a special interest in obstetrical and newborn care and considers it a privilege to walk alongside mothers throughout pregnancy and welcome new babies into the world. He also has interests in endoscopy and comprehensive family medicine.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Holt enjoys spending time with his wife and their two young children. As a family, they love being outdoors, exploring new places, trying new foods and making memories with friends and family.

We’re so excited to have the Holt family in McPherson and can’t wait for you to get to know Dr. Holt! Please join us in giving them a warm McPherson welcome!

We’re proud to see our KU School of Medicine-Wichita students learning and growing in rural communities across Kansas.

Help us give our newest medical student a warm Wilson welcome!

Meet Sophia Mazzetti, a third-year medical student from the KU School of Medicine–Wichita who is spending the next several weeks learning alongside our providers here at Wilson Medical Center and Neodesha Family Medicine.

Sophia earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular Bioscience and a Master's Degree in Public Health from KU. During medical school, she's dedicated her time to educational outreach for high school students interested in medicine and caring for patients through KU's free JayDoc Clinic.

Now, she's experiencing the heart of rural healthcare right here in Wilson County.

Working alongside Dr. Miranda McKellar, Dr. Brad Barrett, and other clinic staff, Sophia is gaining firsthand experience in the relationships, teamwork, and hands-on learning that make rural medicine so rewarding. She is excited to learn from the compassionate professionals who have made Wilson Medical Center a trusted resource for families across Southeast Kansas.

❤️ Let's show Sophia what makes Wilson County so special! Drop a welcome in the comments. We are excited for her to experience the warmth and kindness that define rural Southeast Kansas.

FMIG also leads a Dark V***r program during which medical students give presentations on the effects and dangers of va**ng. During the 2025-2026 academic year, 26 KU medical students volunteered their time to give 48 presentations to 2,096 elementary and middle school students in the Wichita area.
