The Band, has made a record and appeared in two movies. We are proud to claim Red Skelton and Al Hirt as honorary members due to appearances made with both.

Hillbilly Band History

The Hillbilly Band was begun by Noble Louie Fruhauf in 1923 as a marching unit called “Herr Louie’s German Band” as an informal part of the Arab Patrol, but has been known as the “Hillbilly Band” since 1938, and is one of Midian’s oldest musical units in Midian. I'm still looking for volunteers to man a masonic/shrine Information Table (sell gun/corvette raffle tickets) at the gun show at Century2 next weekend -I'll need someone to spearhead this as I'm out of town... Sat 4/28 9-5, Sun 4/29 9-3, 2 people at Table at a time 1-4 hr shifts as needed. Contact Doug Chartier
