Truesdell Middle School

Free breakfasts and lunches will be offered to all children 18 years old and younger at 33 locations in Wichita as part of the WPS Summer Food Service Program. The free breakfast/lunch program begins Wednesday, May 27, and runs through Friday, July 24. The free meals are available to all children, regardless of which school district they attend and not just students who receive free/reduced meals during the school year. Come join us on Thursday at 6pm in the auditorium for our final choir performance of the year!

This show will feature music by artists born outside of the U.S., and will feature over 15 students singing solos/duets, as well as large group performances. You won’t want to miss it!

Last week, we had the honor of celebrating Robyn & JayVen at the STAR Awards with The Pando Initiative! 🌟 Both students have shown growth, resilience, and determination throughout the school year, and we are so proud of all they’ve accomplished. Their hard work and positive impact within our school community truly deserve to be recognized. Congratulations, Robyn & JayVen — we can’t wait to see all you continue to achieve! 💚

James Becker and Ian Ferrer represented Truesdell’s Robotic Team at the 2026 Retirement & Longevity event on May 7, 2026. They did an amazing job in their presentation.

Truesdell Acapella choir students got to hear a full show from Butler College Choir's Headliners show choir, Butler Acapella, and their quartets Notables and SmorgasChords! 55 singers and 3 choir faculty from Butler came to perform for our students.

Students got to also learn about Butler’s fine arts program, how they hold auditions for scholarships, as well as learning a little more about what the college offers. Thank you to Butler for coming and singing for us!

Truesdell Peacekeepers joined other middle school Peacekeeper groups today at Exploration Place. Students shared the Peacekeeper experience and what they will pass along to the next group of Peacekeepers.
