Inspired by the worlds of anime, manga, cartoons, comics, gaming, and contemporary pop culture, ๐™Ž๐™๐˜พ๐™†๐™€๐™ ๐™‹๐™๐™‰๐˜พ๐™ƒ is an exhibition celebrating artwork that hits hard and leaves a lasting impression.

We are seeking artists who work embraces dynamic storytelling, unforgettable characters, imaginative world-building, visual spectacle, humor, action, and bold creative vision.

Whether your work features original heroes, antiheroes, villains, monsters, magical beings, or entirely new universes, ๐™Ž๐™๐˜พ๐™†๐™€๐™ ๐™‹๐™๐™‰๐˜พ๐™ƒ is a space for artwork that captures the energy and impact of the stories that inspire us.

Original characters and narratives are strongly encouraged, through select works featuring recognizable characters may also be considered.

Cairns joins the Bethany College faculty in fall 2026. She is a multidisciplinary artist. Cairns holds a BA in Visual Art from the University of Kansas, a post-Baccalaureate Artisanry Ceramics Certificate from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and an MFA in Ceramics from Ohio University.

WSU ShiftSpace Gallery and Harvester Arts was packed Friday night as students, alumni, family, friends and community members gathered to celebrate the opening of Vox Nostra 2026.

Featuring work by Wichita State University School of Art, Design and Creative Industries graduating BFA students, the exhibition highlights a wide range of voices, media and creative practices from the next generation of artists and designers.

Thank you to the 500 guests who joined us for an unforgettable evening in support of our seniors.

Vox Nostra 26 remains on view through May 29.
