Earhart Environmental Magnet Elementary - USD 259

A wax museum was held by our fourth and fifth graders yesterday. The fourth-grade students researched famous Kansans, and the fifth-grade students studied influential environmentalists. Well done Superstar students!

Our fifth-grade students recently participated in their final Earhart camp. Given that camping is typically a favorite activity among kids during Earhart, attending the last one can be a bittersweet experience. They explored Quivira National Wildlife Refuge, gained insights into sustainable living at the Ad Astra Missile Silo, and enjoyed hiking and camping at Wilson Lake.

Our 4th graders had their camp last week and had the most fun! They explored the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge, went down into the Atlas Ad Astra Missile Silo where they learned about repurposing abandoned spaces and living sustainably off grid, then hiked around Wilson Lake enjoying the amazing rock features and views. Camp life is the best!

A big thank you to all the families that made it out yesterday to our May Bee-utification Day! The pond area is looking so much better after all that hard work 💪🏼

We had such a wonderful time at Camp Wood with our 2nd and 3rd grade students this week! A huge shoutout to all of our amazing families who made this experience possible.

Students had the opportunity to try so many exciting activities—archery, fire building, stream exploration, lizard hunting, and so much more. It was incredible to see their curiosity, teamwork, and sense of adventure in action!

We did have to take shelter in place for a bit due to some severe weather, but we are so thankful that everyone stayed safe.

Thank you again to our families for your support and for allowing your students to be part of such a memorable experience.
