KANSAS PROUD: The three athletes said they are grateful for the opportunity to continue playing.
The signing is a stepping stone of what could be coming for girls’ flag football in Kansas. The Kansas City Chiefs are pushing for the sport to be sanctioned in high school athletics, and an upcoming vote will determine whether it is possible.

I have not heard if our seniors a playing this year. They did last year and it caused some drama in our own home. Just wanted to share that this is still a thing. Hopefully our current seniors decide they have better things to do,
SENIOR ASSASSIN: PUBLIC AWARENESS 🔫
Last night, our night shift officers made contact with a group of teens participating in the game “Senior Assassin.” Officers observed several vehicles partially parked in the roadway along Triple X Road while the group was attempting to “eliminate” another player at a nearby residence.
All of the students were cooperative and took the time to explain how the game works and the rules they’re following. For those who aren’t familiar, it’s a game where students are assigned a “hit list” using water guns, usually outside of school hours, and have to eliminate their targets. We understand this has been a tradition for many seniors but our main priority is making sure everyone stays safe while participating.
A few important reminders for those playing:
• Do not trespass and stay off private property unless you have permission
• If you’re asked to leave, leave immediately
• Use brightly colored water guns so there’s no confusion
• Avoid blocking roadways or creating traffic hazards
• If you’re approached by law enforcement, stop right away and clearly explain what’s going on
Please remember, not everyone in the community knows what “Senior Assassin” is. Someone seeing suspicious behavior or what appears to be a weapon may believe something much more serious is happening and call 911. That can lead to a large police response very quickly.
Parents, if your student is participating, we encourage you to have a conversation with them so you’re aware and can help guide them to make safe decisions.
At the end of the day, we want everyone to have fun, stay safe, and make it to graduation without any issues.
