After volunteering with Shower Up Wichita, Class of 2028 students Aubrey Snapp and Aspen Wilson organized a donation drive to support the local outreach program. This drive was able to stock 50 first aid supply kits and other personal hygiene items for members of the Wichita community. What an amazing way to start the first semester!

PA school is not just lectures, exams, and rotations. It’s also an opportunity to make lasting connections and some great memories. Several members of the Class of 2027 got to spend some time together recently at with Professor Brown and a few furry friends. We love seeing our students enjoying their time together both in and out of the classroom! 💛

Yesterday the Class of 2028 had the opportunity to attend Aphasia Awareness Day, an event hosted by fellow graduate students from the Speech-Language Pathology Program. This event allowed students, healthcare providers, and the public to learn multidisciplinary approaches to care for patients with aphasia and dysphagia. Participants were also able to complete Supported Conversation for Aphasia training, taught by our campus partners and people with aphasia. Thank you Dr. Erin O’Brien for coordinating this valuable experience!
