Teachers are back!!! Today's morning meeting was filled with excitement for the year ahead and a whole lot of gratitude for our colleagues, our students, and this special community we all get to be a part of. Mr. Tyner said it best when right before the meeting kicked off he told Mr. Carolan, "Let's do what we are meant to do! Let's goooo!" 💛💙

We had a blast at Spartan Family Fun Night yesterday! There were great snacks and great pickleball, but the greatest part was meeting new friends and catching up with old friends! 💛💙

Our love for partnering with the incredible organizations in our community doesn’t take a break for summer! Yesterday, our Young Explorers classes held their very own art show in partnership with Balbir Mathur and his nonprofit, Art Connecting Hearts .
Wichita Collegiate has a long-standing relationship with Balbir, finding unique ways to support his mission of connecting with and serving people around the world. Our Spartans learned about Balbir’s story and how, even as his vision has gradually deteriorated, he has continued creating beautiful works of art to raise funds so others can receive vision exams and eyeglasses. We loved seeing our Spartans not only take pride in their own artwork, but also discover that their creativity and hard work can make a real difference in the lives of others. 💛💙

We jumped, and now we’re ready to get started!!! Our Jump Start classes are officially in the books, and in just a few short weeks, we’ll all be back on campus! Until then, soak up these last few weeks of summer, Spartans! 💛💙

Last night we officially welcomed our new Head of School, Matthew Carolan, and his family to Wichita! The Commons was full of Spartans eager to introduce themselves and kick off the newest chapter in Spartan history. We’re looking forward to the year ahead and can’t wait to show the Carolans what makes the Collegiate community so special! 💛💙

Water Day plus Watermelon Wednesday plus Jump Start Week? We went out to take pictures of one thing and before we knew it we were going on a Wednesday Walkaround and the uncontainable joy on campus has us SO excited to get back to our regularly scheduled walks! 💛💙

The new school year is almost here and we are excited to kick it off with you! We hope you can join us on Thursday, July 30, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Chicken N Pickle for a fun evening with fellow WCS families, coaches, and staff. Stop by the Be Amazing Room to mix and mingle, grab some light appetizers, challenge someone to a game of pickleball, or enjoy the lawn games. Whether you're new to WCS or a familiar face, it's a great chance to connect before the school year begins.

Our administration team had a great retreat last week. They enjoyed spending time together catching up, dreaming about the year ahead, and making some pizzas to finish off the day! Thanks to Mark Arts for the fun pizza session and Busey Bank for hosting the meeting! 💛💙
