Pictures from our 30th anniversary reunion event.

It was great to be back in our old building today and see it being used as the district's headquarters. Thanks to Sharon Rye, who facilitated our visit. We took an impromptu group photo at the end (our apologies to Malika who left right before we took it).

Hi all,

A couple reminders for this weekend. Our visit of the old Southeast High School at 903 S. Edgemoor was originally envisioned as an open house from 3-5 but has transitioned into a guided tour that starts at 3:30. Please try to arrive as close to then as possible. It has been determined that arriving through the south entrance is fine.

For Saturday evening at Chicken N Pickle we will have a pickleball court the entire time so if you’re interested in playing make sure to bring appropriate footwear. Here’s to hoping that the weather cooperates! We have adjoining indoor and outdoor spaces.

An informal after party has taken shape at Walt’s, 7732 E. Central, starting around 9:30 Saturday night. We will be in the north room, which is located near the main entrance.

Sharon Rye just informed me that entering from south parking lot is better due to lack of parking on the north. That’s all!

Hi everybody,

A few notes for this Friday’s event. I just spoke with Sharon Rye who is the building principal for USD 259’s Alvin E. Morris Administrative Center (AMAC), formerly our beloved Wichita High School Southeast building at 903 S. Edgemoor. Our visit for this Friday is still on but there are a few rules we need to abide by. First of all, please enter at the northeast visitors entrance (closest to the corner of Lincoln and Edgemoor). If that parking lot is full you will have to park elsewhere, but please do not enter the building from the south. Secondly, we will be gathering inside that visitors entrance and mingling for a while, but at 3:30 we are being offered a tour of the building. That will be our only chance to walk through the halls. Sharon graciously offered this opportunity to us, and it makes complete sense from a liability standpoint that she doesn’t want our group to be unguided or roaming unaccompanied. Afterwards, we can linger in the same entrance area where we arrived but there can be no arrivals after 4:45. I would also encourage you to bring your drivers license in case they need to scan for our ID badges.
