This Thursday, Wichita Public Schools and Common Sense Media are bringing families together for Finding the Balance, a family night all about exploring technology, learning together, and navigating life in a digital world.
We would love for you to join us. Bring your family, invite your friends and neighbors, and come explore the evening together.
Thursday, October 1
5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Alvin E. Morris Administrative Center
903 S. Edgemoor
There is no set path for the evening. Families can explore at their own pace and choose the experiences that interest them most.
• Explore technology our students are using, including robotics and eSports
• Try hands on activities around digital safety, AI, media literacy, and healthy digital habits
• Discover district technology tools and resources
• Join fun, interactive family conversations about finding a healthy balance with technology at home
• Connect with Wichita Public Schools teams and community partners
• Visit the Wichita Public Library bus
• Grab dinner from food trucks on site
Spanish and Vietnamese translation services will be available.
Finding the Balance is free and open to the entire South Central Kansas community. You do not need to have a student enrolled in Wichita Public Schools to attend. The more families and friends who join us, the richer the conversations and connections will be.
Registration is encouraged, but not required.

Come for the technology. Come for the family activities. Come to pick up an idea or two that might work in your own home. Most of all, we hope you will bring someone with you and enjoy an evening of exploring, learning, and connecting together.
We hope to see you Thursday evening.
