As Wichita families get ready to send their children back to school, HOPE Wichita is stepping in to help.

The organization's annual backpack giveaway is this Saturday, taking place at seven different locations throughout Wichita, where families can get supplies and services to prepare for the upcoming year.

Just one day after another Wichita teen captured a state title, Wichita Heights valedictorian Dia Kearney was crowned Miss Kansas Teen USA.
What makes her story remarkable? She had never entered a pageant until a local director spotted her photo on Facebook and encouraged her to compete. She won that pageant — and then won Miss Kansas Teen USA.
Now she's headed to Florida to represent Kansas on the national stage.

The expert egg hiders from @whhs_educators_rising Club, strategically “hid” Easter fun in every nook, cranny, plant and even the floors to bring our young learners at Rainbows Academy some eggs-tra special fun and finds in today’s Easter Egg hunt.
