Classical School Of Wichita

We are excited to welcome Tyler Busenitz as the new Activities Director at Classical School of Wichita!

This new position will provide leadership and oversight for both our athletics and fine arts programs, helping to strengthen and support the many opportunities our students have to grow, compete, perform, and develop their God-given gifts.

Tyler brings extensive experience in athletic leadership, coaching, and program development. A graduate of Butler Community College and Wichita State University with a degree in Sports Management, he has served in athletic administration, coached at both the junior high and high school levels, and played a key role in helping a growing school establish and expand its extracurricular programs. His commitment to Christian education and student development makes him a great fit for this role.
Tyler and his wife, Shelby, have been married for eight years and are the proud parents of four children: Brynlee, Emma, Paxton, and Spencer. They are active members of their church community and are looking forward to becoming part of the CSW family.

2025-2026 sports finished strong as the 2026 track and field season came to a close at the KSHSAA State Championships, and our Saints were well represented on the state's biggest stage!

Sophomore Kaiah Cravens earned a 2nd-place finish in the Long Jump, bringing home a state medal and a spot on the podium.
Junior Anna Schmidt finished 8th in both the 100m and 200m, earning podium finishes in two events.

Additional state qualifiers competed with excellence:
• Sophomore Anna Dernlan – 13th in the 3200m
• Senior Duncan Neill – 11th in the Triple Jump
• Girls 4x800m Relay Team – 14th place
Congratulations to all of our state qualifiers on an outstanding season. We are proud of the hard work, perseverance, and dedication they demonstrated throughout the year as they represented the Saints and CSW so well.

Congratulations to two Lady Saints who have earned recognition from the KHSCCA 4-3-2-1A Girls Soccer All-State Team!

Freshman forward Brystol Barney has been named Second Team All-State.
Senior defender Meghan Wolfe earned Honorable Mention All-State honors.

These awards recognize outstanding performance, dedication, and impact on the field throughout the season. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

Congratulations to two of our CSW swimmers for earning recognition from the Wichita Eagle's 2026 All-Metro Girls Swim & Dive Team!

Freshman Alice Schmidt has been named to the All-Metro First Team, while Sophomore Louisa Eriksen earned All-Metro Third Team honors.

These recognitions reflect the hard work, dedication, and outstanding performances both athletes demonstrated throughout the season. We are proud of the way Alice and Louisa represented CSW in and out of the pool and look forward to seeing what they accomplish in the years ahead.

Qualifying for State is a tremendous accomplishment, and we're proud of the dedication and hard work these athletes have shown throughout the season.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, State Track & Field is one of the great sporting events in Kansas. With athletes from schools across the state competing at Wichita State, it's an exciting atmosphere and a fun event for the whole family.

The journey of the Class of 2026 at CSW has come to an end. On Saturday, we celebrated Commencement and honored these graduates for their achievements, leadership, and the lasting mark they have left on our school community.

We are grateful for the ways they have shaped CSW through their friendships, service, perseverance, and love for learning. As they head in different directions and pursue the next stage of life, our prayers go with each of them.

We want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful women who have served in Parent Teacher Fellowship leadership this year! Through sweet treats, coffee, meals, fun surprises, kind words, and most importantly, faithful prayers, they have blessed and encouraged our staff in countless ways.

We feel deeply loved and supported by this incredible group of women and could not ask for a better PTF team.

A special thank you to Lauren Young as she completes her term as president. We are so grateful for her leadership, service, and care for our school community!

Congratulations to sophomore Anna Dernlan and senior Isabella Hale for being selected to the ACCS National Honor Choir! This is an incredible achievement and a well-deserved honor.

In June, Anna and Isabella will travel to Atlanta to rehearse alongside talented students from ACCS schools across the country before presenting a concert at the conclusion of the ACCS Convention. We are so proud to see these young women represent our school community with excellence and joy.
