What an incredible showing by the talented crew from The Gregory Agency at last weekend’s Launch Showcase in Chicago! All six of our participants got several high level callbacks. Jenni Warren was selected for the Launch fashion show. Jenni, Caitlyn Gehrke, and Ivy Sailing won return scholarships, and Ivy received a record number of callbacks for a child performer. So incredibly proud of the excellence displayed by Jenni, Caitlyn, Ivy, Caylynn Mosley, Atrau Moore, and Ashton Pacholski. Also want to give a shout out to 3 Gregory Agency talent who did an amazing job on the Launch staff and rocked the house down with their own performances, Emmanuel Cockrell, Anna Scott, and Injoy Fountain!

It’s with a heavy heart that we recognize the passing of one of the agency’s most beloved members. Elliott Mayberry has been with The Gregory Agency since the very beginning, signing with us in 1990 the year we opened our doors. We shared a lot of firsts together. Elliott went with us to our first model and talent convention and he was the first African-American to appear in a Sheplers Western Wear catalog. Through it all he was always the perfect example of a kind, warm, and elegant gentleman. El’s signature broad smile lit up every room and he will be sorely missed. Love you El.

We’re always proud when we see our actors and models in ads but when those ads work for good in the world, we’re extra proud. We had a number of actors voice a series of ads for the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services in a campaign to combat youth su***de. It’s an area that strikes close to home as we lost a young model to su***de many years ago named Jeff Crimi. Big thanks to Loriah Davis, Slevin Dudley, Jennifer Gonzalez, Marin Herring, and Janny Martinez-Carrillo for doing such a great job on this important campaign. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental illness, reach out for help. As they say in the campaign “it’s okay to not be okay, it’s not okay to stay that way.”

Skilled Chicago-based photographer Sarah Jane is returning to Wichita to shoot actor headshots and model portfolio images on October 5th and 6th. These are samples of some of the amazing images she’s captured from past shoots in Wichita. Couldn’t be more proud of the job these amazing performers did last weekend at the Launch Showcase in Chicago. Lilliana Mullins, Leea Meuten, Isla Wadsworth, and Zayne McCann (alongside little sister Olivya) sang, danced, modeled and acted in front of scouts from across the country. They received lots of attention - and callbacks - from them! In addition Isla won a return scholarship and Lilliana is one of the youngest recipients of a scholarship from the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts. They were joined by Gregory Agency stars and Launch Showcase alumni, Injoy Fountain and Emmanuel Cockrell. So excited to see what happens next for this talented group!

A while back we helped cast a short film for writer/director Jake Farrago, titled Mo’s Strange Predicament. In the film, classic old Hollywood characters come to life and escape from the salt mines under Hutchinson where many old movie reels are stored. The film turned out great and Jake is looking to use it to finance a feature-length version. The film stars Gregory Agency’s own Anna Maddox and co-stars Lynn Barger and India Sebastian.
