We are excited to announce that Mina Estrada will join the School of Performing Arts (SPA) next fall as an Assistant Professor of Performing Arts with a focus in Contemporary Dance. Additionally, Mina will serve as the Program Director of Dance. We thank Sabrina Vasquez for her incredible service and leadership over the past two years and honor her desire to focus again on teaching, creating, and supporting a new program leader.
With immense experience as a dance educator, community arts advocate & facilitator, and arts administrator/manager, Mina Estrada will make an immediate and important impact on the dance program and entire SPA. In addition to teaching courses such as contemporary dance, choreography, and improvisation, Mina Estrada will continue to teach the core SPA course, “Professional Practices for the Performing Arts,” and has been asked to create additional courses in arts administration, leadership, and structures to enhance all SPA students’ preparation for arts leadership and portfolio & sustainable careers.
