Coleman is a neighborhood traditional school. At Coleman Middle School we meet the students where they are academically, socially and emotionally. Parents and staff work together to create a learning environment that is safe, caring and academically challenging for the students. Directions: Exit east Kellogg at Rock Road. Go north on Rock Road to 13th Street. Go west on 13th Street to Governeour Road. Go north on Governeour Road about one block, Coleman is located on the east side of the road.

Each day, October 5-9, students are encouraged to participate in themed days.

Monday = Pajama Day
Tuesday = Fictional Character Day
Wednesday = Twin Day
Thursday = Favorite Teacher Day
Friday = Turkey Dress Down** ($5 to dress down)

**Turkey Drive Dress Down Days are fundraisers for this year's WPS Turkey Drive. Students wanting to dress down need to bring $5 with them to purchase the Dress Down pass. This is NOT a CPO dress down day.**

We'll be reviewing expectations with students this week so they're ready to go for next week. All outfits need to be appropriate for school and follow all non-standard dress code rules apply. Parents/guardians will be called if expectations are not met.

The Fall Dance is coming up! This year's theme is ✨ "Under the Stars" ✨

Fall Dance 🕺
Friday, October 9
6:30-8:00pm (pick up at 8pm)
Enter at Door 24 (by Coleman Gym)

Students need to wear their IDs and follow non-standardized dress code.

Combo tickets (dance ticket, 2 slices of pizza, and a drink) will be sold BEFORE school on Friday, Oct. 9 for $10.

Dance only tickets will be sold at the door for $5.

Pizza and drinks will be sold a la carte for $1 after the combos have been picked up.

Students who are assigned RISE (ISS) or suspended out of school on Oct. 9 OR who have accumulated 7 or more tardies during October may not attend the dance.

Coleman Cross Country Info -- Please review the information below about the Cross Country season. For information about uploading Physical forms to Bound, please visit https://coleman.usd259.org/athletics. Reach out to Coach Jon Belsan ([email protected]) with any questions.

First day of practice is September 28th from 2:20-3:45 p.m.
• NO signed physical uploaded into Bound = NO practice
• Practice begins in the Boys Gym
• Late Bus available if needed
• Practices are Monday-Friday

Additional information:
• NO Electronic Devices during practice (watches okay)
• While a member of the team, you may not participate in any other running related competition (ex. Turkey Trot)
• Attendance and participation at practice is mandatory to compete in any meet. MUST PRACTICE 7 DAYS before first meet. If more than one practice is missed, athlete will be unable to run at the first meet.
• Bring your own water bottle, refills via coolers will be available!
• Can get daily snacks (M-Th) through ASP if signed up. If willing, parents will provide snacks for team before and during meets.
• Running shoes are ideal, but any shoe that is firmly attached will work.

What needs to be uploaded to GoBound.com?
• A physical form on file (get this from your doctor)
• Go Bound Policies (parents read and sign on Bound)
• If you played other sports this year, those forms work!
