Announcements: Today is Sept 16th, the 3rd of the three 3990 meetings in Sept. The next meetings is on the 1st, 8th, and the 15th. Dues are to be paid by Sept 30th. The new membership rates now apply. The revamped Free Toast Host website is still to be updated. David will re-supply the information and Jonathan shall update it. Rhonda advanced the motion to not vote for best speaker. The motion passed 2-1. David will send out the motion to the absent members for ratification. There was some discussion what was meant by “eliminating the speaker vote.” There had been no mention of the evaluator, table topic, or facilitator votes. David will re-transmit the information for ratification. Susan Lee stated that the drop-dead date for speech and table topics contest participation had not dropped yet. An email is forthcoming on that piece of information.

Toastmasters Club 3990 met last night. Rhonda spoke on making mistakes and concluding by saying mistkes are opportunities to grow and we should strive to never fail again the same way. David gave us techniques to overcome our fears in speaking. Our meeting minutes are below:

The revamped Free Toast Host website was discussed. The old 3990 information carried over to the revamped site, but with anomalies. David submitted several changes for Jonathan to implement. Rhonda advanced the motion to not vote for best speaker. The motion passed 2-1. David will send out the motion to the absent members for ratification.

Rhonda announced that David received training for President and Sgt-at-Arms. Rhonda received training for VPE, and Jonathan received training for Secretary. Our training requirement has been met. Dues are to be paid by Sept 30th. The new membership rates now apply. An old member visited us today. Welcome Miles Thompson!
